Westchester County Civil Rights Lawyer Discusses a Municipality Claiming You Are Not in Compliance

As experienced Westchester County Civil Rights Lawyers, we often have cases where local government agencies and departments will hire outside companies on a contract basis to provide certain services and sometimes there ends up being a situation where the governmental entities determine that you’re not in compliance with certain either industry rules or regulations, maybe the government’s individual rules and regulations or some overseeing body say on the state or federal level. Typically, the contract will provide some type of notice to the company that they’re in breach of these rules and regulations. However, that’s not always the case.

In these circumstances, the company might find itself in a situation where it’s not receiving compensation and compensation is cut off by the governmental entity because of what they claim is a breach of contract. These cases are often litigated and they can be very expensive to litigate. My best advice is to contact an experienced Westchester County Civil Rights Lawyer early on to advise you on how to go forward. Maybe there’s something that can be done to bring you into compliance. Maybe there’s something that can be done to prove to the governmental entity that you the contract with that you are actually in compliance and they were mistaken. Things can be worked out sooner than later to avoid unnecessary expense and risk to your business.
