Comprehensive Legal Protection In Employment, Commercial And Real Estate Litigation
Ms. Gould and Ms. Berg have won respect throughout their careers for their balanced, thoughtful approaches to resolving disputes.
Ms. Gould is a seasoned trial and appellate attorney who has litigated numerous cases before federal and state courts. She represents clients in discrimination and harassment matters before the EEOC and the New York State Division of Human Rights, as well as in wage, hour and unemployment matters before the New York State Department of Labor. She provides frequent advice and consultation to clients on a wide range of employment-related issues, including the drafting, review and negotiation of termination and severance agreements, and the use of proprietary information and intellectual property.
Ms. Berg represents plaintiffs (employees) and defendants (employers) in workplace-related matters such as sexual harassment, discrimination on the basis of gender, race, age, disability, and sexual orientation, requests for reasonable accommodations, retaliation claims, and wage and hour claims. She often advises employers on implementing appropriate equal employment opportunity policies and training on behalf of employers on best EEO practices.
Our lawyers have also consulted on and litigated matters involving real estate brokerage commissions, foreclosure defense, construction, breach of non-competition agreements and violations of the federal Fair Housing Act. Both attorneys are members of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and have been selected for inclusion in lists by Super Lawyers. A Practice Driven By Strategy, Honesty And Sustainability
Our law practice is underpinned by three principles: tailoring strategic advocacy, providing honest counsel and delivering sustainable results.
In our attorneys’ day-to-day work with clients, this translates to listening carefully to each one – whether they are an employee, employer, landlord, tenant, business owner or another role – and crafting a legal strategy that fulfills their goals in a cost-effective manner. We do not encourage litigation if other means will provide a better outcome, both short-term and long-term. However, if litigation is the best path to resolution, we pursue claims in court or defend our client against them with vigor.
